Love Notes

Westlake Village Inn Wedding by Tiana Hollomon Photography“A girl’s wedding day is probably one of the most nerve-wrecking, exciting, sickening, thrilling, and emotional day that she experiences. Mine was no exception, but with a little dash of Middle Easter drama. She helped me through the ups and downs of my wedding day. I was thankful to have Tiana as my photographer. She was so great and professional the entire time. Tiana did her homework prior to my wedding day, that when it came down to pictures, no time was wasted. My wedding was gorgeous and Tiana did and AMAZING job capturing it all! I loved her and would recommend her over and over and over again. I will only be getting married once but if that wasn’t the plan I would use her again. ;)”

“We are so happy we had Tiana as our wedding photographer. From scheduling an engagement session to organizing the delivery of the wedding photos, she was professional and fun to work with. Tiana made purposeful efforts to get to know “out style”, and that showed in the final product of our pictures. We feel like our engagement and wedding photos are not only top quality, but capture our individual personalities and shared love. With the combination of attention to our wants and her own creativity, we were completely relaxed about the photography on our wedding day. We didn’t have to worry about thinking of poses or ideas – Tiana came prepared and took care of all the details. We got all of the traditional shots we were hoping for and also love the unique pictures she took! We are so happy with our wedding photography collection, and would definitely use Tiana again in a heartbeat!

“I have worked with Tiana professionally for the last three years through House2Home  Showcase, a local home improvement magazine. During this time, Tiana has handled formal portraits for specific clients, as well as candid shoots for a monthly At Home feature with local farmers, chefs and artists. Her work and professionalism in the formal shoots has been outstanding. Her interpersonal skills during candid shoots have been an incredible asset. These sessions have required that she make the subject feel comfortable in her presence while also being unconscious of the camera.

As a photographer, Tiana has the amazing ability to be both invisible and wholly present at the same time, allowing her to achieve amazing results. Many of the people we have interviewed together are accustomed to posing for the press. By capturing these “camera ready” personalities un-posed, Tiana has consistently created a sense of intimacy with her subjects and the viewer.

Tiana’s versatility is also an asset. In addition to portraits, our work together has included photos of everything from food to art. Several of these shoots were for internationally acclaimed artists who— quite appropriately—exercise careful control of images to be used for publication. Even with clients such as these, Tiana’s work always delights. She is remarkably able to create the same feeling of intimacy in a still life as she is in a portrait.

Working with Tiana professionally has been a joy. On a more personal level, Tiana recently did family portraits for me. While family portraits are normally viewed as a fun thing to do, we expected ours to be difficult. We were intentionally marking the year anniversary of the death of my husband by going to his favorite park. I knew I could trust Tiana to handle the shoot with appropriate delicacy. But she did much more. She made the day fun. And in doing so, she made it possible for us to remember fondly while building something new. I am thrilled with both the results and the experience.

Tiana is truly a rarity. She is a photographer with empathy. It is my great pleasure to recommend her whole heartedly.”
